It’s the first day of classes for those of us here at Rutgers-Camden (and for many schools in the district), and we’re also happy to get the Local Knowledge Blog up and running again. We have some really interesting content coming over the next few days, including thoughts on both Ferguson, and the New York Times piece. I also have guest posts from a parent “pissed” at changes here in Camden, and from a resident struggling in Waterfront South where predatory businesses have long frustrated residents.

Camden also hasn’t stopped moving while we’ve stopped writing. There was a Solidarity with Ferguson rally last week at City Hall, and, my brother was even invited to the city to sing opera at Gallery Eleven One.

Finally, we’re ramping up our Facebook presence here at the Local Knowledge Blog. If you have a moment, head over and “like” us there. Most Camden clicks come via Facebook, so hopefully this will make it easier to share and discuss news and new ideas.

Looking forward to an exciting school year here at the Local Knowledge Blog, and, as always, please consider writing!
