A few weeks ago I wrote about how the Camden School District was being dishonest; it refused to talk about the implications of the plan to open so many new schools. That can only mean one thing. Closing others.

So I’m particularly intrigued by an event happening at Rutgers-Camden tomorrow: 

This is the latest in a struggle over information and understanding of the changes coming to the Camden district. I’ve written at length about how I think events held by the district have touted charters without doing the same for traditional public schools, and how a misunderstanding of test scores drives misinformation from the district.

I’m very curious to see what a parent-run event looks like, what turnout is like, what types of questions occur in an open format. I’ll be there. Please take a moment to say hello if you attend as well.
